The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame is an organization established to recognize and honor individuals that have made exceptional contributions to the Canadian mining industry.
We were commissioned to create films that highlighted the remarkable career achievements of the Hall of Fame’s inductees. Through a cinematic approach, our goal was to capture each mining expert’s extraordinary essence. Similar to the treatment typically reserved for professional athletes, we wanted to tell their story in a way that highlighted their prowess; to establish that each inductee merited their place in the Hall of Fame by showcasing their outstanding abilities.
Our approach was to not only illuminate the accomplishments of the inductee but also to let the audience get to know them as a person. By interviewing the inductees themselves as well as people closest to them, we are able to glean enough understanding to illustrate a dimension of that person that may never have been revealed to industry members.
